Hi hello!
I'm in Delaware on another vacation. I am not even going to call these vacations anymore since I go somewhere practically every weekend. Juhs been travelin'.
Anyways, after a delicious brunch at BALASIA, my father and I headed to Delaware. He bought a new "boat" which usually consists of two pontoons with a tarp in between and a sail:
But actually now he bought a small yacht, which is really enjoyable. No splashes!
Anyways, after that we went to the boardwalk. Rehoboth used to be home to lots of scuzzy dykes, white trash, hippies, and an assortment of other undesirables that made it so much fun and has now been gentrified (and I don't mean in the fun way that hipsters do to poor ethnics in Brooklyn) into some sort of Nautica / American Eagle / Vera Bradley late spring ad campaign. I noticed this change five minutes on the boardwalk when I was quite literally shoulder checked and called a "fag" by some dude in what I can only assume was a "rugby stripe" polo, pookah shells, and a beautiful, slightly off-kilter baseball cap that shows his care-free attitude.
I wasn't even wearing tight pants or my giraffe sweater to bring on such hate!
Oh well. Later, father, Olga, and I delved into an infamous Russian beverage that we chased with pickles.
Things to look forward to: Claire and Kristina's moving-in party AND perhaps my last trip to NY for a long time. Oh also, Japan.
