Ice Cream, Rollerskates, and Mackin' It

Well!

The video has unofficially been released and I think it came out very nicely.

It does not officially come out until March 10th but until then you can watch it on The Teenagers' website:

http://www.theteenagers.net/news/35/love-no

In other news, I have to finish my paper on Ladri di Biciclette by 4:40. Nice!

EDIT: Haha, I didn't see Hannah's blog, but hers is WAY funnier than my post about the video.

Enjoy!

FREEda Kahlo and the Great Starbucks Blackout

What a day, what a day!

After four trips to the Honors Advising Office, Hannah and I successfully scored three FREE tickets to the Frida Kahlo exhibit at the PMA. We were set for a night full of geeks and nerds since it was an honors thing BUT we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Everything was in English AND Spanish so I got to test out my reading skills. I even spotted my old Spanish professor, but she did not say 'hola'.

Oh well, que lastima.

There was also tons of free food but it really only consisted of: Garlic bread, watery marinara sauce, a sad array of crudite, cookies, and two types of dip. OH and some good chips.

The lady working the one table was flabbergasted by these "new fangled vegetarians".

IN OTHER NEWS... While I was at the Frida exhibit, I was missing out on a nation-wide Starbucks in-store training.

For three hours ALL Starbies closed down, causing many post-Panera Bread diners to suffer annoyance.

The training is the company's newest way to fight the competition by getting back to its roots. With the addition of music, sandwiches, and the rise of McDonald's new cafe sweep, Starbucks has seen its lowest sales in a long time. This new espresso training involves pulling shots better and making sure each "HAND-CRAFTED BEVERAGE" is perfect for the customer.

Is this the end of the Seattle GIANT?!

I doubt it.

People will not want to go to McDonald's to get their lattes, labels are very important!

Fashion Advice from PETA

The fun-timey group PETA has recently released their worst-dressed list.

To qualify for this list all you have to do is wear fur. Or have a boa skin handbag. Or ya know, where animals somehow.

To qualify for their (possibly) nonexistent best-dressed list, you just need to be naked 24/7. See: Pamela Anderson and Dita Von Teese.

The top 'winners' of this year were Aretha Franklin, Lindsay Lohan, Kylie Minogue and some other ladies.

On Ms. Franklin, the group said she looked like a walrus and that Lohan's clothes "Know Who Killed Me". The group had several other really terrible, horrifically un-witty things.

They also said that they were leaving Britney Spears OFF the list this year as they did not want to "add coal to the fire" which brings me to the point of this post.

I do not understand how the group can justify comparing the meat industry to the holocaust day after day and juxtapose photos of chickens in coops with Jews in concentration camps yet they won't touch a celebrity who is going through some troubles.

Like PETA putting her on their worst-dressed list is going to officially throw her off the rails?

But they're not concerned about offending Jews or Mayor Giuliani when they blamed his consumption of milk on his prostate problems?

As a vegan, I am all for animal rights and what not but PETA just goes about it in such terrible ways.

Sorry this post is a downer.

In funzo news, I got a haircut and the weather was nice!

I'll even give you an uplifting YouTube video ( consider this your trip to McDonalds courtesy of mummy after she and daddy have a falling out about him "working late" with the lady next door ).

Beauty is Pain

This ties in to a conversation Hannah and I were having about people who are good looking and people who are good looking and know it.

Enjoy! Narcissism

Slim Aarons, Take Me Away!

"I was going to write this a few days ago and say how the terrible weather makes me want to run away some place warm.

But then the weather changed and negated the whole reason for writing this post.

Since I am clever however, I will use the bizarre change in weather to profess how much I wish warm weather would stay and how it reminds me of my most favorite photographer: Slim Aarons."

This post has been a draft for so long. Basically the situation is now, I have to study billions and billions of kanji and it's supposed to snow tomorrow soo here this is.

Despite being pretty famous while he was alive, there are few traces of him nowadays. He has several anthologies ( I just bought TWO recently ) of his work. The store price is around $75 but you can get them on Amazon for $40, which is a really good deal for a huge 255+ page book with tons and tons of photos. His books are rarely in stores and I don't hear many people talking about him. Perhaps someday soon he'll 'blow up' and be the talk of the town once more.

Either way, his photos make me yearn for warm weather (and also to be rich).

As he put it, he enjoyed taking pictures of "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places".

Ohhh just hanging out by the pool.

Suck it Hillary.

Cabana Chat

I have a whole photo album of me pointing at people at parties. I should upload it here sometime.

Slumber party

So that's that! Now I can study forevz.

Nastie Times

Where have I been!?

I figured a post might get the ball-rolling again.

Mostly I just work, do school stuff, and go out.

In other personal news, mummy is coming to visit and step-father bought tickets to the Star Wars exhibit...

It's going to be so crowded.

Until I have more exciting news, here is ( SURPRISE ) YouTube video.

Also, my computer has crazy viruses so I cannot upload photos.

Not to turn this into a Teenagers Blog BUT

They just released a new video:

Not the OFFICIAL 'Love No' video of course.

But at around 3:13 there is some SICK footage of us rollerskatin'.

Click to see me moving on wheels and also to hear me say something indiscernible.

Cheers!

And So It Was

The video shoot had everything it promised it would:

-- The Teenagers
-- Rollerskating
-- Ice cream
-- Mackin' it
-- Good times

In addition to that, there were:

-- Red velvet couches
-- Craft services
-- Cute cats
-- Japanese make-up artist
-- Name-dropping

All in all it was a neat day. I'm really tired still and I do not know when the video will be out but you can be sure I will keep you posted.
